My work in the past two and a half decades has been with grassroots communities and community paralegals. I started doing legal empowerment work in the Philippines, but in the last ten years, I have been more involved in regional and global work, advocating for justice system reforms, and helping strengthen legal empowerment organizations in different countries.  The APBC & A2J Exchange has been a major component of this work of promoting collaboration and cooperation among different justice advocates in the region.  The consortium and the conference have served as a melting pot of like-minded justice actors, and provided relevant linkages that foster solidarity, shared learning and collective action.

During the last ten years, I have been collaboratively strengthened Pro Bono Pro Bono & Access to Justice through training and encouraging law students to provide legal advice and community legal education program to community.

The APBC&A2JX has assisted me to continue the pro bono spirit.
