Our focal point will be the term “climate apartheid.” Professor Philip Alston, the UN special rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights, first used the term in his report to the UN human rights council (HRC) on Jun 25, 2019.
The panelists will talk about: Climate apartheid, the Corona pandemic, and its economic consequences increased the risk of climatic apartheid, Their observations on “climate apartheid” in their own country, suggestions to the legal community and civil society activists to play a more active role in curbing this crisis,
