Empowering Future Legal Professionals: Showcasing a Successful Collaborative Pro Bono Initiative in Justice Education

Session Description:

The session will discuss the collaborative pro bono initiative, Clinical Legal Education Mock Trial Workshop and Event, and its impact on the next generation of lawyers and legal community. The Mock Trial Workshop and Event is a regional signature event that engages students and legal trainers from the Asia region. The event features various mock trials such as pre-trial, evidence exclusionary hearing, and sentencing hearing, with a core focus on Fair Trial and Rule of Law principle.  This impactful event has been developed, and strengthened, through collaborative pro bono support from throughout the Asia region and globally. This session will demonstrate the goals and impact of this regional initiative, and the ways and means pro bono support has continuously been provided in a multitude of diverse ways.
