Bruno Langhendries – ASF

Bruno Langhendries is the Access to Justice Expert at Avocats Sans Frontières (ASF – “Lawyers Without Borders”), an international NGO specialised in defending human rights and promoting access to justice in post-conflict and fragile countries. He previously worked as a lawyer (member of the Brussels Bar Association). Specialised in the field of immigration law and private international law, he was a trainer, legal advisor and researcher in the field of private international law. Bruno was president of the legal coordination committee for the Belgian section of Amnesty International for six years. He joined ASF in 2014, and focuses mostly his work on developing measures facilitating access to justice, and developing strategies fighting illegal and abusive detention. More recently, he is focusing on law practices and initiatives that contribute to positive change within justice systems and local societies.
