Lawyer and the founder – The Legal House Laos
Pavina Thephithuck is a dedicated lawyer and the founder of The Legal House Laos, a social enterprise law firm aimed at enhancing access to justice in Laos. As a member of the Lao Bar Association and Deputy Head of the Legal Aid Sector, she plays a pivotal role in promoting legal support and education across the country.
Her legal career began with the Clinical Legal Education program in 2010, and she joined BABSEACLE as a Legal Fellow after graduating in 2013. Since then, she has worked tirelessly to implement Clinical Legal Education initiatives, partnering with several universities and governmental organizations to develop law graduates and promote Pro Bono work.
She has been involve in a numbers of projects, including those focused on supporting communities affected by gender-based violence and enhancing university legal programs by collaborations with organizations like USAID and the EU, as well as initiatives aimed at strengthening the legal profession in Laos.
In August 2022, she established The Legal House Laos, where she aims to inspire female lawyers and support local practitioners in launching their own firms. Through a strong commitment to help support and showcase on how Pro Bono work and Legal Aid working together, consultations, and training to empower clients and strengthen the legal community.
