Enkhsaikhan Lkhagvajav

Enkhsaikhan Lkhagvajav was born in 1963 in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. She graduated in 1991 with a degree in history from Irkutsk State University in Russia, and in 2001, she completed his law degree at the Law School of the National University of Mongolia.

She has been working in the legal sector for 24 years and has been a member of the Mongolian Bar Association(MBA) for 23 years.

  • Board member of the Mongolian Bar Association, since 2013 until 2019;
  • One of the founding members of the Committee for supporting lawyers` professional activity for public good of the Mongolian Bar Association in 2013 and Chair of the committee since 2018 until 2022;
  • Board member of the Committee for supporting lawyers` professional activity for public good since 2022 until now;
  • In 2024 elected again as board member of the Mongolian Bar Association.

She has been actively engaged in lawyers` professional activity for public good since 2013 and was one of the organizers of the Mongolian Lawyers’ “Pro Bono Forum” in 2017, 2018, and 2019.

  • She is also one of the one of the Initiators of the National Pro Bono Day of Mongolian Lawyers on May 1st and organizing successfully 7th time in row since 2019.
  • She engaged in an initiative that also included providing basic legal advice to citizens in remote districts of the capital in 2022.
  • Since 2013, as a lawyer, she has provided free basic legal advice to 210 citizens for their health needs, and has also provided additional crime prevention classes to 150 high school students.

Awards and Recognition:

  • Awarded the title of “Leading lawyer in Legal Professional” in 2014.
  • Selected as “Best Pro Bono Lawyer” by the Mongolian Bar Association in 2023.

International Engagement:

  • Participated in the 8th Asian Pro Bono Conference in Kathmandu, Nepal (2019).
  • Participated in the 12th Asian Pro Bono Conference in Cebu, Philippines (2023).
  • Proposed Mongolia as the host country for the 13th Asian Pro Bono Conference and is currently leading the working group appointed by the Board of the MBA to organize the event.
