Lynn McMahon

Pro Bono and Large Law Firm Engagement: Ways and Means

Job Title: Pro Bono Lead (Asia)
Organization: Herbert Smith Freehills
Bio: Lynn McMahon leads the pro bono programs in HSF’s nine offices across Asia. Lynn is an experienced litigator and pro bono lawyer with over 20 years’ experience across a broad range of commercial and pro bono matters in Australia at HSF and in London at Linklaters. Lynn works closely with local not-for-profits and international organisations to develop programs which increase access to justice and address unmet legal need. Lynn has also worked as an advocate for disadvantaged young people at the Shopfront Youth Legal Centre in Sydney and on the HSF Community Committee which is responsible for management of the firm’s community and charitable engagement. Lynn was also responsible for HSF’s role in the development of the BABSEACLE Ethics and Professional Responsibility Curriculum and Mock Trial Curriculum which she has co-presented in Cambodia and Myanmar. She is a member of the International Organising Committee and Program Committee for this Conference.
