Professional Responsibilities and Legal Ethics in Business Law Practices

BABSEACLE and its law firm partners are collaborating to provide pro bono Continuing Legal Education for lawyers in select Asian jurisdictions, focusing on enhancing their understanding of Professional Responsibilities and Legal Ethics in Business Law Practices.
This pro bono initiative aims to equip this cohort of lawyers with the knowledge, skills, and ethical awareness necessary to navigate complex legal scenarios within business law practices. In turn, this initiative helps to uphold international standards of legal professionalism and ethics.
This full-day training will cover three sessions which include some of the topics below:
- Compliance and Related Ethical Issues in Legal Practice
- Ethics & Sanctions, Anti-Corruption Law and Anti-Bribery Law Compliance Issues
- Merger and Acquisition, Transactions, and Ethical Considerations
- ESG and Ethical Considerations
- Conflict of Interest Legal Issues Related to Business Compliance
- Perspectives on Access to Justice for Corporate and Commercial Lawyers
Participants will include practicing lawyers, in-house lawyers, risk management professionals, compliance teams, law lecturers from universities, and other relevant teams from both the Asia region and globally. The primary language of instruction will be English, with simultaneous interpretation in Thai and English provided if needed, depending on participant demand.
