The ‘Beyond Refuge’ Summer School on Refugee Rights and Forced Migration
This year, to mark the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the 1951 Refugee Convention, 29 participants from over 14 different countries have come together as part of the first-ever ‘‘Beyond Refuge’ Summer School on Refugee Rights and Forced Migration’, to discuss various methods and approaches to advance and strengthen protections for refugees, forcibly displaced, and at-risk populations in different host country settings. This plenary session is dedicated to them. Please join us as we discuss and explore their creative and cutting-edge proposals for advancing rights to meet the defining challenges of today and the future – from non-inclusive and non-gender-informed social protections, to climate-induced forced migration, protracted displacement, and loss of livelihood resilience in a changing world.
