2025 Access to Justice Exchange
The Access to Justice Exchange (A2JX) is a series of the workshop, meetings, sessions that happen before and after the Asia Pro Bono Conference. These will vary in both thematic focus and in participant groups involved, and have a separate registration process from the 13APBC. While some A2JX events focus on the intersection of Pro Bono , Access to Justice and Rule of Law, all will have strong relevance to justice issues in both the Asia region and globally.

The Professional Responsibilities and Legal Ethics in Business Law Practices Workshop
This pro bono initiative aims to equip this cohort of lawyers with the knowledge, skills, and ethical awareness necessary to navigate complex legal scenarios within business law practices. In turn, this initiative helps to uphold international standards of legal professionalism and ethics.
Clinical Legal Education (CLE) Supervision Workshop
The workshop aims to strengthen and achieve access to justice through providing an understanding of CLE, its goals, best practices for supervision, and a practical road map of how CLE helps to achieve and strengthen Access to Justice. The workshop will also raise awareness about lack of access to justice for marginalized and vulnerable persons and the need of CLE
Pro Bono Week Collaboration
Pro Bono Week Collaboration is an international initiative that aims to support jurisdictions around the world to arrange a day, week or month to celebrate and support legal pro bono, and to share ideas for events and communications that can also be used through the year to encourage pro bono.
In addition to highlighting successes in other jurisdictions, this workshop will include a series of interactive sessions dedicated to sharing and discussing challenges/solutions in existing pro bono weeks, the business benefits of pro bono, and a guided walk through of setting up a pro bono week and events
Court Transparency, Openness and Avoiding of Case Backlogs Practices Workshop
This workshop will consist of two topics: (i) Open Trial – Mongolian Experiences and Perspectives, and (ii) Small Claims Court – focusing on simplified case proceeding principles and international experiences.
The Role of Bar Associations/Law Societies in Supporting Pro Bono Workshop
The workshop aims to raise awareness about the crucial role of bar associations and law societies in promoting and facilitating pro bono legal services in Asia. It will highlight successful case studies and best practices from the region, provide practical guidance on engaging and supporting legal professionals in pro bono work, and encourage collaboration to enhance pro bono support across Asia.
