Mayumi Ikenaga is the Vice President of the Fukuoka Bar Association, where she serves as the manager of the International Committee. In this role, she is working to foster exchanges with bar associations in various countries. She attended the LAWASIA Conference held in Seoul in September 2026 to engage with international bar associations.

Mayumi serves as the representative managing partner of Honryu Law Firm, which operates four regional offices across Fukuoka Prefecture and provides free initial consultations to local residents to improve access to justice. At the firm, she primarily handles medical malpractice cases as counsel for patients, but she also handles a wide range of other cases, including divorce, inheritance, and criminal matters.

Her personal interests include studying Korean and Chinese and exploring the history and diverse cultures of Asian nations, which she studies every day.
