Jimmy (Chih-Yao) Hsu is an educator at National Fongshan Senior Industrial Vocational High School in Taiwan. A dedicated advocate for transnational youth collaboration, he has partnered with Japanese schools to implement the UNESCO ESD framework. Since initiating a collaborative cloth mask project for Cambodian pupils during the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Hsu has continuously guided his students in global humanitarian efforts, including supporting Syrian refugees in Jordan. He strongly believes in the power of “co-learning” and actively works to empower students, transforming them from passive learners into active global citizens who care about social justice and pro bono initiatives.
