Clarisse Ikeda Larcher is a Global Legal Officer at LEDGE, a Japanese nonprofit dedicated to public interest litigation. LEDGE pursues strategic litigation in Japan on a broad range of human rights issues, including racial discrimination in policing, criminal justice reform, reproductive rights, gender equality, youth political participation, and electoral fairness.
A human rights lawyer admitted to practice in New York, Clarisse has worked across international NGOs and the International Criminal Court, where she developed expertise in international justice and accountability. At LEDGE, she conducts research on international human rights standards and comparative law, and coordinates pro bono projects.
