Synergies between Pro Bono and Justice Education

Utilizing a “Justice Education Café” interactive method, this session will focus on a variety of regional and global Justice Education models and pro bono initiatives working together. This will include exploring these pro bono initiatives and justice education models reinforce each other to expand access to justice, strengthen professional identity, and prepare law students and practitioners, and others to strengthen access to justice and rule of law. Participants and Justice Education Café presenters will examine and share models that integrate justice and clinical education programs, curricular reform, and institutional partnerships to scale sustainable pro bono programs, share ethical best practices, and measure impact. The session will conclude with participant reflection sharing and pledging to apply experiences gained from visiting the Justice Education Cafés.
