Catherine Klein is Professor of Law at Catholic University of America and Director of the law school’s in-house clinical program. She created one of the first law school clinical programs in the US designed to address the issue of domestic violence through individual representation, community outreach and education, and legislative advocacy. Professor Klein is a member of the Steering Committee of the Global Alliance for Justice Education (GAJE). She has participated in every Worldwide GAJE conference, serving as Chair of the 2013 GAJE Delhi conference. She and her colleague Leah Wortham were the co-recipients of the 2025 Dr. N.R. Madhava Menon Award in recognition of enduring work and achievement in furthering and strengthening justice education globally.
