Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs of Mongolia

Munkhbaatar has pursued his education with a strong commitment to law and governance.

His professional career began at the Ministry of Justice, where he served as a specialist in legal reform planning from 1999 to 2000. From 2000 to 2006, he worked as a specialist and senior specialist at the Crime Prevention Council. Rising through the ranks, he became Director of the Department of Information, Monitoring, and Evaluation at the Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs in 2006. He later led the Civil Registration and Information Center and subsequently the General Authority for State Registration as Director General.

Mr.Munkhbaatar’s political career advanced as he served as Adviser to the Prime Minister in 2012 and to the Chairman of the Mongolian People’s Party in 2013. He was elected as a Member of Parliament in 2016, serving two consecutive terms. In Parliament, he chaired the Standing Committee on Justice, later becoming Deputy Speaker. In 2025, he was appointed Minister of Justice and Home Affairs.
