Kay McArdle MBE

Kay is the founder and CEO of the award-winning, Hong Kong legal access and innovation charity, Equal Justice 平義社, ensuring that, when everyday people face a legal problem, they get the help they need. She is a Hong Kong and England & Wales lawyer by profession, a published author on access to justice and has extensive local and international policy experience. Kay was awarded an MBE in King Charles III’s 2025 Birthday honors’ list for her work on community legal access and women’s rights. In 2024, she was awarded ‘Asia’s Most Influential Hong Kong’ and, in March 2025, the ‘Women of Influence Awards 2025: Woman Champion of Disadvantaged Groups & Minorities’ award. Kay’s focus is to create and champion pathways that increase equity, equality, transformative digital innovation and systems’ change, for a future where no one needs to face a legal problem alone.
