Khurelbaatar Baasanjargal

Member of the Mongolian Parliament Lawyer

Khurelbaatar Baasanjargal is a member of the Mongolian Bar Association and a dedicated lawyer. She earned her Bachelor of Laws from Ikh Zasag University in 2004 and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Finance and Economics in 2009.

Her professional experience includes positions as a lawyer at Suvd Partners Law Firm, a trainer at the National Legal Institute, a senior lawyer at Legal Way Law Firm, a partner at ELC Law Partnership, and a legal consultant at Development Solutions NGO.

In 2018, Ms. Baasanjargal was awarded the International Bar Association’s “IBA Pro Bono Award” in recognition of her efforts to protect children’s rights, affirming her standing as a globally recognized lawyer. She played a crucial role in challenging the government’s decision to allow children to race horses in winter and spring, collaborating with international and domestic organizations to safeguard children’s rights, which led to her receiving the prestigious award.

Elected to the State Great Khural (Parliament) in the 2024 elections as a member of the Mongolian People’s Party, she is actively involved in drafting and promoting legislation to protect human rights and strengthen the rule of law.

Ms. Baasanjargal is a member of organizations such as Lawyers Without Borders NGO, the Mongolian Bar Association, the Mongolian Lawyers Society NGO, and the International Bar Association. She is also a founding member of the Women Lawyers Club.
