by the Judicial General Council of Mongolia

2 October 2025

This workshop will consist of two topics: (i) Open Trial – Mongolian Experiences and Perspectives, and (ii) Small Claims Court – focusing on simplified case proceeding principles and international experiences. In Mongolia, it has been being under progress and improvement making court open, transparent and accessible since 2013, that undoubtedly considered as one most crucial factor for public confidence in court. Therefore “Open trial” is one of the significant and critical issues for Mongolian judiciary.

Also, first ever Small claims court was established in Mongolia at the beginning of this year 2025 for above purposes as well. Since this specialized court is quite new to Mongolia, there is still a need to study and introduce good international experiences and practices for this settlement.

For above reasons, the organizers have decided o organize this workshop taking into account the current state and situation.
