Gabriela Christian-Hare
CEO of the Australian Pro Bono Centre
Gabriela Christian-Hare is the CEO of the Australian Pro Bono Centre. She joined the Centre in 2017 as Head of Policy & Strategy and in 2019 was appointed CEO, responsible for the Centre’s overall management, strategic direction and representation of the Centre in a variety of forums and media globally.
She is an Australian and UK qualified lawyer. Before joining the Centre Gabriela practised as a commercial lawyer in Sydney, London and Tokyo, working in law firms and investment banking, before pivoting her career to focus on social justice. Gabriela worked for UNHCR in Syria during the Iraqi refugee crisis and as Special Advisor in Tony Blair’s Office of the Quartet Representative in Jerusalem, focused on Middle East peace negotiations and supporting Palestinian economic development and institution building.
Gabriela holds a Master’s Degree in International Human Rights Law from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney.
