Charmaine Yap

Charmaine Yap is an undergraduate student at the National University of Singapore, Faculty of Law. She is involved in pro bono work with a focus on migrant worker issues. She has assisted NGOs in Singapore that work with migrant workers, Transient Workers Count Too and Healthserve, with legal research and case work. She has also worked with the regional NGO Justice Without Borders as a Legal Coordinator and Research Fellow. With JWB, she worked on a cross-border project on the legal issues faced by migrant workers in four jurisdictions, a practitioner’s manual for migrant workers on pursuing civil claims in Singapore and from abroad, strategic research on the legal status of the In-Principle Approval letter, and case work management.
