This session will explore emerging challenges faced by frontline actors in ensuring access to sexual and reproductive health services, as well as in the delivery of protection and gender-based violence responses amidst COVID-19. The aim of this session is to shed light on the compounding challenges local actors face in meeting the immediate needs of the pandemic. It will also address challenges and strategies in ensuring access to healthcare, including access to sexual and reproductive health services, strategies for raising awareness of domestic violence, and progress that has been made in advancing discussions towards inclusive rights-based approaches to protection both as a matter of human rights and as a public health imperative.
